Azamara Cruises appoints several new executive leaders

Azamara Cruises tapped Meg Lee as global chief marketing officer, Paulette Haedo as chief information officer and Minas Miliaras as chief maritime officer, while Capt. Nico Corbijn takes the new role of chief administrative officer.

CEO Dondra Ritzenthaler called the incoming executives 'outstanding individuals' who are 'recognized leaders in their respective areas,' and said 'They each bring a wealth of cruise industry knowledge and experience to Azamara' and will play a critical role in helping the brand as it grows to the next level.

Corbijn's 'combination of knowledge, background and leadership skills is truly rare,' Ritzenthaler said, adding 'his ability to lead across land and shore operations is remarkable.'

Meg Lee

Lee, formerly CMO at Norwegian Cruise Line, most recently led North America consumer marketing for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. She will oversee Azamara's marketing & communications globally including product, trade, brand, engagement & loyalty, media, public relations and internal communications.

Paulette Haedo

Haedo previously served as VP experience product delivery transformation at Virgin Voyages and earlier held held key roles in IT, transformation and digital functions at Royal Caribbean, Disney Cruise Line and American Classic Voyages. She brings extensive knowledge of the Versonix Seaware rservations system and will lead Azamara's IT and program management office.

Minas Miliaras

Miliaras, a naval architect with an MBA in marine engineering, brings experience from past roles as SVP marine technical operations at Carnival Maritime and AVP marine operations at Royal Caribbean. He will oversee technical, nautical, safety, environmental and and security operations.

Nico Corbijn

Corbijn, who has led marine operations for the three years since Azamara became an independent company, will now lead global human resources, legal services and Azamara’s land product development team. His background includes organizational management with multiple certifications in HR, and he has deep expertise in crew management.
