Resorts World Cruises toasts two years with ships' open house

Sunday's open house aboard Genting Dream and Resorts World One in Singapore marked two years of Resorts World Cruises operations with nearly 3.3m passengers carried.

The event was open to the public by registration with close to 1,000 attendees, including business and travel partners, local authorities and media.

Tours, samples and new mascot

Attendees interacted with the crew, toured facilities and accommodations and sampled entertainment, food and beverages. The event also introduced new mascot, Pin Pin, who will be making regular appearances on both ships.

With homeports in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung and, now, Jakarta, Resorts World Cruises be adding Keelung and Dubai as homeports in July and October respectively. The line is expanding to 30 destinations, with recent additions like Ho Chi Minh City, Con Son, Bangkok, Ko Samui and Redang Island.

Genting Dream year-round Singapore

Genting Dream sails year-round from Singapore and Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur) on two-, three- and four-night cruises between both cities and also to Penang and Phuket.

Resorts World One's varied schedule

Resorts World One will continue sailing between Singapore and Jakarta with a stop at Port Klang until early July. From July 12, the ship will begin cruises from Keelung and Kaohsiung to Kyushu and Okinawa in Japan, calling at Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Sasebo and Nagasaki in Kyushu and Naha, Miyakojima and Ishigaki in Okinawa.

From Oct. 18 until April 13, Resorts World One will homeport in the Arabian Gulf with departures from Dubai.
